Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, beginning with Jesus’ triumphant arrival in Jerusalem where he was greeted by jubilant crowds waving palm fronds.

A week later, Christ would rise from the dead on the first Easter.

Palm branches are traditionally blessed and distributed at Palm Sunday Mass.
