Principal's Message:
"Young people of our time, like those of every age, are a volcano of life, energy, sentiments, and ideas. However, they also need help in order for this great wealth to grow in harmony." — Pope Leo XIV
As we begin this new school year, inspired by the 2026 Catholic Education Week theme “Pilgrims of Hope,” we are reminded that our journey together is one of faith, purpose, and promise. In Romans 15:13, we are encouraged: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Jesus was sent to be our hope, our light, and our guide. With the Holy Spirit as our compass, we walk together as pilgrims—sharing in the blessings of Catholic Education and reflecting God’s goodness through our words, actions, and relationships.
At Canadian Martyrs, our mission is to foster a positive, safe, and caring environment where every individual feels a deep sense of belonging and is valued for their unique contributions. It is within this nurturing space that each of us—students, staff, and families—can strive to reach our full potential.
It is both an honour and a privilege to serve as the new principal of this vibrant school community. I look forward to learning and growing alongside you, united in our Catholic faith and shared commitment to excellence. We recognize that each child is a gift from God, and we will encourage them to be the best version of themselves—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Please join me in thanking Mr. Fletcher for his leadership, compassion, and dedication to the Canadian Martyrs school community over the past six years. We wish him many blessings as he begins a new chapter as principal of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, where he will continue to make a positive difference.
In partnership with Father Greg and the Canadian Martyrs Parish team, we will continue to nurture a faith-filled environment where relationships flourish and where the well-being of every child is a priority. We invite all parents to be active participants in their child’s educational journey, knowing that your involvement strengthens our shared mission.
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and through trust, respect, and collaboration, we will help our children grow into compassionate, confident, and faith-filled leaders of tomorrow. As pilgrims of hope, may we walk this path together with joy, purpose, and love.
"Let your light shine." — Matthew 5:16
Yours in Catholic Education,
